Ryan
Lawrence was born in San Luis Obispo, California where he began
his dance training. At 14 he became bi-coastal traveling to Concord,
New Hampshire to study with Richard Rein at St. Paul’s School.
While there he spent his summers training at: The School of American
Ballet, American Ballet Theater, and Houston Ballet Academy. He
anticipates receiving his BFA from The Juilliard School in 2002.
While at Juilliard he began choreographing; his works have since
been presented from Alice Tully Hall in New York City to An Appalachian
Summer Festival in Boone, North Carolina and points between. He
has performed works by Paul Taylor, Jose Limon, Igal Perry, and
Hans van Manen, and can be seen in the film Center Stage. Mr. Lawrence
is currently a member of Hubbard Street 2.
